Scholarship for Adult Women
The Cincinnati Catholic Women (CCW) organization grants the Continue with Confidence Scholarship for Adult Women and administers the St. Rose Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded to support and encourage an Adult Catholic woman who wishes to begin or continue her pursuit of an undergraduate college degree.
Who is Eligible: Any active, practicing Catholic woman who is 21 years of age or older. Candidates must reside within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati community and be self-supporting , as verified by a federal tax return and must be currently enrolled or registered to start classed by September, 2015. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a degree-granting undergraduate program (associate or bachelor) for the 2015-2016 school year. Only those candidates enrolled in an accredited college, university or vocational school may apply.
The Criteria: The Continue With Confidence Scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria (listed in order of importance): financial need, practicing Catholic status, and community or volunteer service. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support to a person who would not be able to complete her education without this assistance.
The Process: Please download the application documents from the links below. In order to be considered eligible, applicant must also submit a letter from their church describing their involvement. Applications will be accepted until July 27, 2015. A committee of Catholic Women of Cincinnati members will select finalists for a personal interview (required), and will select recipients from these finalists. The scholarships will be awarded no later than August 15, 2015; the check will be sent to the recipient’s institution of choice at the appropriate time.
