Night time falls
Windows open
Crickets chirping
The air is cool yet stale

There is no life
No familiar sounds
No security your there
No fullness in my heart

I don’t cry
I just breathe
Eyes wide open
silence fills my heart

I lie still waiting
Praying for your return
Breathing in the air
Knowing my journey

Wanting so much
Remembering when
